Hydraguard BW100

BW100 is a neutralizing amine product for the treatment of steam boiler condensate and feed lines

BW100 controls condensate and feed line corrosion by reacting with carbon dioxide present in the steam and producing alkaline conditions.

BW100 is specifically designed for systems with medium or long steam and condensate lines.

Advantages

  • Easily applied along with other treatment chemicals
  • Economical
  • Simple control test
  • Reduces iron levels in boiler water

How much to use

BW100 dosing is controlled by determining the pH Value of the condensate returning to the boiler feed tank.

A low dose should be fed initially and gradually increased until the condensate pH Value is within the limits 8.5 - 9.5.

In old, previously untreated systems, initial overdosing should be avoided as the treatment will remove existing corrosion deposits which could reveal pinholes in pipework.

Method of Application

Continuous addition by metering pump into the condensate or feed tank, into the feed line or directly to the boiler shell are alternative addition points.

Handling and Storage
